Sébastien Perron became the first director of ICI RDI

Sébastien Perron will replace Paule Genest as ICI RDI’s first director when the latter retires at the end of June. The appointment was announced Monday by Luce Julien, director general of information at Radio-Canada.

Mr. Perron has worked at Radio-Canada since his career began in 1998. He has worn numerous hats, including journalists in Sudbury, national reporter in Toronto and Saint-Jean, parliamentary correspondent for the national in Quebec. , producer for the radio as well as the director of ICI Première from 2016 to 2018, where he launched several radio programs in addition to laying the foundation of the podcast department.

Since 2018, Sébastien Perron has been directing news and information radio programs, in addition to producing several podcasts. In her new role, she will be responsible for the ICI RDI channel and will also have the mandate to develop the video distribution strategy with Crystelle Crépeau, Senior Director, Magazines and Digital Information.
