“This is the end of a great adventure. This is how Denis Lévesque announced that the show that bore his name on LCN will air for the last time on May 19th.
After more than 3000 daily and 16 years of daily on-air presence, the host wanted to slow down.
The pandemic also played a big role in his decision. Because of the social distancing he implements, the seasoned interviewer had to switch to video conferencing to conduct his interviews.
Human interaction is less obvious, especially when talking to people going through drama or difficult situations, as often happens when I invite them to my set, he explains. All of this has little, much, diminished my personal enthusiasm.
His show is known for its live interviews covering the most diverse topics, from human dramas to the extraordinary.
The host does not leave the TVA network for all that. On the occasion of the celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the continuous news channel LCN, he will conduct 25 interviews with 25 people who have marked the news over the past 25 years, according to a press release.
They will be released next year. The LCN channel was launched in September 1997.
