A judge in Los Angeles County, United States, allowed today, Wednesday, five additional witnesses to testify against film producer Harvey Weinstein in a trial in which he will face eleven counts of rape and sexual abuse of five victimsreported by Variety magazine.

Five witnesses were called by the prosecution to complement the victims ’version and try to show the Hollywood magnate’s alleged inclination to commit sexual crimes.

In August, the magistrate decided not to allow any testimony related to events prior to the year 2000.

Judge Lench relied on so -called “testimony of previous bad acts”, which is included in the statute of limitations and establishes the maximum time available to begin judicial proceedings since the crime occurred.
