Amazon Studios and Lionsgate will join forces to develop a sequel to “A Small Favor”. According to Deadline, Anna Kendrick (“Perfect Choice”) and Blake Lively (“Gossip Girl”) will return for the sequel as leads.
The suspense revolves around Stephanie (Kendrick), a single mom who records cooking vlogs. Lonely, she ends up making friends with Emily (Lively), a powerful upper-class woman and the mother of a schoolmate of her son. When Emily disappears, Stephanie decides to investigate her disappearance.
the filmmaker Paul Feig also returns as director of the project, which will be scripted and executive produced by Jessica Sharzer. Production is under the responsibility of Meredith Wieck and Scott O’Brien.
“A Little Favor” was released in 2018 and has racked up more than $97 million at the worldwide box office.
