CineBuzz selected the main news of this Thursday (12)
Another week full of news from the world of cinemas, streamings and entertainment – in general – is almost over! And among the highlights of the day, we had a collection of reviews from CineBuzz, of some releases that are coming. Among them, “The Man in the North”, a new movie by Universal Pictures described as “an epic film of viking and revenge”which has a strong cast.
Among the others are “O Peso do Talento”, a feature in which Nicolas Cage he himself is in a career crisis. And, finally, “Vai Dar Nada”, the first Brazilian feature produced by Paramount+. Below, check out the main news from the world of entertainment this Thursday (12):
- Grand and Violent, ‘The Man in the North’ is the Viking revenge epic blockbuster cinema needed | #CineBuzzIndica
Doubt about style Robert Eggers it’s genuine and far from a criticism of the director, it’s made because it got even bigger when the movie world learned that his next project would be a viking epic with extreme violence. Now, where would the director get inspiration from horror to direct a story like this? And they exist, in fact, in “The Man from the North”, the third film by the director that brings together some names he has worked with before, such as Anya Taylor-Joyfrom “The Witch”, and Willem Dafoefrom “O Farol”, in addition to news such as Alexander Skarsgard (“Melancholy”), Nicole Kidman (“Dogville”), Claes Bang (“The Square”), Ethan Hawke (“Moon Knight”), among others.
- “The Weight of Talent” Brings Nicolas Cage Back to Theaters in a Beaten Formula | critique
Nicolas Cage in “The Weight of Talent” is a different case. The actor, once highly respected and winner of the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in “Farewell to Las Vegas”, has become something of a movie myth, either for his lifestyle that led him to the aforementioned debt and mainly for his extremely exaggerated performances that are part of his overacting. so imagine Nic Cage being himself in a film that brings him back to the big screen after so long already arouses curiosity in itself, even more so that “The Weight of Talent” relies on cage as the center of attention and not as a brief participation.
- “Vai Dar Nada” emerges as the comedy that criticizes Brazil’s privileges | #CineBuzzIndica
“Vai Dar Nada” is the new comedy by Jorge Furtado (“Under Pressure”) and Guel Arraes (“O Auto da Compadecida”), which marks the first Brazilian production made by Paramount+, streaming responsible for showing the film on May 18. But, you must be wondering: what is the story about? And I tell you: talk about the DPVAT, in addition to the various perks and loopholes in Brazil’s laws and positions.
