This Sunday, the music world will once again experience one of its most special nights: the Billboard Music Awards, a ceremony celebrating the best in international music of the 2021 season.
A sum of 62 categories make up the Billboard Music Awards, and at the ceremony will deliver the most important. Nominees include figures such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Dua Lipa and BTS. Argentine artists do not appear in any of the categories.
Also, the rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs will be the official presenter. Last year, for example, it was Nick Jonas.

Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott and Becky G joined the list of artists that on Sunday they will perform at the award ceremony, which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
This was announced by the magazine that organized these awards, which had previously confirmed, among others, the existence of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megan Thee Stallion, Florence and The Machine, Rauw Alejandro and Mary J. Blidgewho will also receive a Billboard Icon award.

The awards gala will be held on Sunday, May 15 and will be released on TNT (in Spanish) and TNT Series (in the original language), from 9:00 p.m.with comments from Sebas Pinardi, Flor Coianis, Ileana Rodríguez and Rafa Sarmiento.
The coverage will include a preview of the Punto de Encuentro program, starting at 8:00 pm with all the details, predictions and associated data of the great music event. This preshow will be hosted by Anaís Castro, Heisel Mora and Gerudito.
At events of these characteristics, an hour before the gala begins, the red carpet will take place, where you will see the great stars of the night and hear their first impressions.
The most nominated
In this edition, The Weeknd emerges as the excellent candidate with 17 nominations, which puts him on the run, based on the 19 awards he has won in recent years, to surpass Drake, who holds the record for being the greatest winner in the history of these awards, with 29 of his credit. Of course, it won’t be an easy task, especially since the Canadian rapper will also compete this time around in 11 categories.

But in addition, Drake could be surpassed by Taylor Swift, who amassed 25 awards and competed in seven categories; and by Justin Bieber, with 21 wins and 13 current nominations.
On the other hand, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Olivia Rodrigo had 14 nominations while Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran 9. Moreover, BTS was also nominated with seven and competed in the same category with two songs and for the first. this time was nominated for Rock Song.
