It may be a crazy weekend, but the lack of control limits a night of confusion and mania. Sa The irresponsiblewhat starts as a meeting that tries to be relaxed and restorative, becomes a game where the dark side of the main character emerges, always oscillating between near tragedy and humor, with a black hue.

On the Astros stage (reopened in this play and under the artistic direction of Andrea Stivel), three friends (two of them, also, siblings) meet in a borrowed house in the country to accompany for a few days one to them left. of his companion. The plan is to help him get through the painful moment. But nothing goes as expected.

Written and directed by Javier Daulte, (who has already premiered the play in Barcelona, with a local cast) suggests a text that is a waterfall of emotions and thoughts that floods the characters and leaves they are raw with their unhealed wounds.

Between impulse and rational

Impulsivity and rationality, pull into a battle that none of them will end. Do we need to be carried away by the urge and that’s all? How should we think about every action we take, even the ones that cause us pain?

Lila, Nuria and Fabiana, the protagonists, go with their will, from top to bottom and again, to the surface, for seconds. Sometimes, their behavior is somewhat childish, overwhelmed by the very circumstances they caused and that, right away, they try to patch up, whatever. And they evoke tenderness.

Fantasy and reality overlap, quite dangerous. However, all the mental and emotional turmoil going through them is conducted with precise and necessary rhythm so that the situation, which can be tragic, becomes a comedy.

the three actors

For that, the work of the three actresses is fundamental. Gloria Carrá, Julieta Díaz and Paola Krum respond like clockwork to that counterpoint, to the tireless ping-pong that keeps the story going, with a roller coaster sensation that evades the solemnity of talking about what hurts and laughing in common places, especially in the female universe.

Friendship, brotherhood, marriage, guilt, envy, fear, lack of love, frustration and disappointment are depicted and appear as the protagonists bring their dark side to light.

The work approach, announced as “how far will you help a friend?”, Is just the starting point to present the inevitable subject of life. The right, the wrong thing; the good and the bad are very close neighbors, almost intimate, and sometimes people just need a breath to push them from one side to the other.

The characters have very well defined features, perfect for game play that makes gags possible. Julieta Díaz is a desperate, pildo and hilarious Purple; Paola Krum bets on a Nuria that she thinks she controls everything but overflows at every step, and Gloria Carrá develops a Fabiana who takes things with apparent contempt so as not to show her weakness.

The actors put the body into the story, though with choreography that adds to the dynamism. Thus they spread energy and form empathy, along with the unquestioning crying babyin the voice of Janis Joplin, which is momentary and perfect for work.
