Olsen says that the most difficult scene to shoot was the moment when America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) transports Wanda Maximoff to a reality in which your Variant lives peacefully with her children, Billy (julian Hilliard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne). When the twins come across this ruthless version of the character, they are so scared that they don’t even recognize her behind the Darkhold’s corruption and throw objects at her to try to protect themselves.
“There’s a moment when I get hit by people I love, which was a tough scene. One of the people I love – the little people I love – they’re throwing things at me in this scene, and they accidentally hit my face hard. ”commented Olsen.
“And that was the best reaction. And I felt so bad responding to that as an actress instead of responding to them as someone who loves them. Because they were terrified afterwards. It wasn’t something I liked at all, but I knew it would be good for the scene.”he added.
It is in this sequence where Wanda realizes that she has lost all her essence during the relentless quest to retrieve the twins after the events of “WandaVision”. In his moment of redemption, he accepts his mistakes and recognizes that he cannot take the place of his Variant to live happily alongside his children.
