Two-time Oscar-winning actor has been retired since 2004
The actor Gene Hackman (“Mississippi Burning” and “The Jury”), the 92-year-old surprised everyone by reappearing in a rare photo after 18 years of retirement.
The winner of two Oscars, for Best Actor for “Operation France” and for Best Supporting Actor for “The Unforgivables”, attended the Broadway Confidential event in New Mexico, where he posed for a photo with the presenter. Seth Rudetsky and the actress Ana Gasteyer.
The presenter posted the photo on his Twitter and commented: “Look who came to our show in Santa Fe! GEN HACKMAN. Poseidon’s Fate [filme com o ator]!!! My favorite!!!“, he wrote. Check it out:

“The Jury” was one of the last films starring hackman who retired from acting in 2004 and has lived a secluded life ever since.
With the photo, many fans were excited: “It’s great to know he’s still going strong, even if we’re not lucky enough to see him in action.“, commented one person on Twitter. “So nice to see a picture of him after so long!“, declared another fan.
In addition to winning two Oscars, hackman he also received three more award nominations with the films “Bonnie and Clyde: A Blast of Bullets” (1967), “My Dad, a Stranger”‘ (1970) and ‘”Mississippi Burning” (1988).
