In the plot, two people incarcerated (teller and Smollett) confront the past in an ultramodern penitentiary, which offers inmates the chance to lessen their sentences by offering themselves as guinea pigs for tests for substances that alter the individual’s feelings. The site is managed by a visionary (Hemsworth) who experiments with drugs, altering the inmates’ minds, until one of them starts to question his own emotions.
“Spiderhead” is directed by Joseph Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”) and a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernickboth from “Deadpool”.
“Spiderhead” hits Netflix on June 17.
