First wave of episodes arrives on Netflix on May 27
With the premiere of the highly anticipated fourth season of “Sranger Things”, whose first wave of episodes arrives on Netflix next Friday (27), the first products of the series began to be sold, including the Monopoly game inspired by the new year. However, what was supposed to be fun, turned into a nightmare for the producers when they revealed spoilers from the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, leaked online footage of the official game linked to the long-awaited new season of the retro sci-fi hit. Images from the game’s cards – which began circulating last month – spoil key plot points in the new episodes. For obvious reasons, the CineBuzz will not put them here.
The incident did not please Netflix at all, especially the producers of “Stranger Things”, Matt and Ross Duffer, who were furious to find out. Known for the way they value maintaining the secrecy of history, the site reported that the duo had a “total collapse” about the accident.
“Lessons have been learned and hopefully there will be more cohesion in season five”said the source referring to the action set.
A Reddit thread dedicated to the leak claimed that the game was purchased in “a nationally recognized retailer and fairly bought by a consumer. No one stole it; no one leaked a sample”. These purchase details are unconfirmed, however, retailers are currently advertising “Stranger Things Monopoly” plaques pegged to past seasons, although some alleged copies of the Season 4 version are being advertised on eBay.
ON SEASON 4 OF “STRANGER THINGS”
The fourth season of “Stranger Things” will be set in three different places: Hawkins, Los Angeles and Russia. The first teaser shows how the life of Eleven (Millie Bobby brown) has become even more difficult since she moved to California after losing her powers and still hasn’t been able to adapt well to her new school, despite having the company of Will (Noah Schnapp).
However, she counts the minutes until the summer vacation, when she will be reunited with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and old friends in Hawkins City, without even imagining that Hopper (David harbor) is alive and was taken by the Russians. The trailers reveal that she will be a key player in ending a war involving the Upside Down, but Eleven has not yet accepted her fate because she believes she has lost her full potential.
The new season of “Stranger Things” will be divided into two volumes, with the first wave of episodes arriving on Netflix on May 27, 2022. Volume 2 enters the catalog of streaming approximately a month later, on the 1st of July.
The fifth and final season of the series has already been confirmed by Netflix.
