The chapter entitled “The Train” rescues a metaphor presented in the premiere episode of the 6th and final season of the series, illustrating the character’s passage with a long train, whose wagons bring together dear people and remarkable moments in her life.

Moore stated that he felt sick from so much emotion when reading the scripts for the episode in question: “I threw up after reading it. Couldn’t breathe. I remember seeing Chrissy the next day at work, and she didn’t have the same reaction—she didn’t get sick—but it was one of those experiences where you get so overwhelmed your nostrils get blocked. You really can’t breathe“, he detailed.

It wasn’t so much the parting aspect, nor the fact that she is reunited with Jack at the end. All of this was exceedingly beautiful, but I think it was the fact that she was guided by William (Randall’s father, played by Ron Cephas Jones) and all those little details and easter eggs“, continued Moore. “What a beautiful and complete way to illustrate the end of someone’s life“.

Moore still tore praise for the screenwriter Dan Fogelman. “It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read in my life. I wrote to Dan immediately after finishing it and it just said, ‘I’m so honored that I can be a part of this and I can tell this story, and to end it this way is just… Wow.’ I could never have imagined that we would make it, in the end. It’s the most beautiful metaphor, and if it really happens to us, it can’t be too bad.“, he said.

Moore even said if fans can expect to see Rebecca and Jack Pearson again (Milo Ventimiglia), at least one last time: “I would say stay tuned. I mean, if that was all, that’s enough. Just the idea that, at the end of the day, when she lets go, he’s waiting for her. Wow! Nothing is more poetic than that. And I feel like, if that’s where it ends, that’s enough. In the finale we’ll definitely see more of Jack and Rebecca in a time we haven’t lived much of lately. So this will be a gift too“, he concluded.

With 18 episodes, the sixth season of “This is Us” was released in Brazil on January 6 by Star+. The final episode should arrive in Brazil on May 26.
