Margot Robbie (“The Suicide Squad,” “Barbie”) was chosen by Warner Bros. to produce and star in a new film in the “Eleven of Men and a Secret” franchise. The film will be directed by Jay Roachwho worked with the actress on 2019’s “O Escândalo”.
Robbie is producing the project with Tom Ackerley, your partner in production company LuckyChap. Roach is also producing the feature along with her executive at Delirious Media, Michelle Graham.
The film is described by the website Hollywood Reporter as a prelude to the acclaimed feature from 2001, and will have a script signed by Carrie Solomon (“The Good Fight”). The plot will have Europe in the 1960s as a background.
“Eleven Men and a Secret” accompanies Danny Ocean (George Clooney), a man who starts planning his next crime less than 24 hours after leaving the New Jersey penitentiary. The plan is simple: rob three Las Vegas casinos in just one night, in the midst of a fight for the world heavyweight title. The protagonist gathers a team of 11 experts to help him in his plan, always following three basic rules: don’t hurt anyone, don’t steal from someone who doesn’t really deserve it, and follow the plan as if you have nothing to lose.
