Amazon Studios announced that the director Nicole Kassellwho directed episodes of “Watchmen”, will be responsible for directing and producing the pilot episode of the series live action from She-Ra. The information is from Variety.
In addition to “Watchmen”, Kassell he has directed episodes of shows such as “Westworld”, “The Leftovers”, “The Americans” and “Castle Rock”. Most recently, she directed the pilot of the HBO series “The Baby”. She made her directorial debut in 2004 with “The Woodsman”, screened in competition at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.

If the project goes ahead, it will mark the first adaptation in live action of the character She-Ra. She debuted in the 1985 animated film “He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword” as part of the “Masters of the Universe” franchise before earning her own cartoon series, “She-Ra: The Princess of Power.”
According to Variety, the show has been in development since September 2021. No writer has been announced as of yet. There is still no premiere date for the new She-Ra series.
