Film marks Miller’s return to theaters after ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’
The director’s new feature George Miller“Three Thousand Years of Longing”, won its first trailer this Friday (20) showing Idris Elba like a genie from the lamp.
“Three Thousand Years of Longing” chronicles the encounter of a scholar (Tilda Swinton) with a genius (Idris Elba) who offers you three wishes in exchange for your freedom. The consequences of this conversation, more unexpected than advertised, unfold over decades.
The film that is about to be shown at the Cannes Festival marks the return of Miller to theaters after the release of “Mad Max: Fury Road” in 2015.
“Three Thousand Years of Longing” is scheduled for release on August 31 in the United States. In Brazil there is no date yet.
