Apple TV+ production will have episodes directed by Matt Shakman
The Giant’s Franchise Godzilla will be expanded into an Apple TV+ series, which has already had its directors defined. According to Deadline, Matt Shakmanwho helmed Marvel’s “WandaVision”, will be responsible for the first two episodes of the project.
According to the North American website, the plot will revolve around a family looking to reveal secrets of the mysterious company Monarch. The Godzilla series has not yet received an official title, but it will be part of the “MonsterVerse” created by Legendary, which already has “Godzilla vs. Kong” (2021).
The Apple TV+ series will also feature other monsters from Japan’s Toho to expand its cinematic universe.
It is worth remembering that “Godzilla vs. Kong” was released in March 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and even so, the film grossed about US$ 468 million at the worldwide box office, and had its sequel confirmed.
The film will have the return of Adam Wingard directing and filming will begin in 2022 in Australia. The actor Dan Stevensknown for having starred in “Legion” and “Beauty and the Beast” is confirmed in the cast.
