Artist stars in adaptation of Bethan Roberts’ novel alongside Emma Corrin, from “The Crown”
The singer Harry Styles revealed that he filmed his first nude scene for “My Policeman”, the film adaptation of the drama written by bethan roberts. The artist, who recently made an appearance in “Eternos”, said it was important to have a safe environment to film the feature.
“I felt vulnerable. I had never kissed someone in front of a camera. It was like letting a part of me go, in a way.”declared Styles in an interview with the radio Howard Stern. “I got naked in ‘My Policeman’. There’s no penis in the final cut, but there’s an ass. I think the most important part is having confidence. If you talk it right with a lot involved, it helps a lot.”
“My Policeman” revolves around a couple, marion (Emma Corrin) and Tom Burgess (Styles), who meet and fall in love on the coast of Brighton in the 1950s. Patrick Hazelwood (David Dawson), a curator at the Brighton Museum, emerges in the story and also develops feelings for police officer Tom. The men go on to live a passionate romance – despite the fact that homosexuality is illegal. For a while, they embrace their lives as a trio, but jealousy starts to interfere.
The actors Gina McKee (“Bodyguard”), Linus Roache (“Vikings”) and Rupert Everett (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”) round out the cast. The film is directed by Michael Grandage (“The Master of Geniuses”), based on the screenplay of Ron Nyswaner (“Philadelphia”).
“My Policeman” is scheduled to premiere between June and September in the United States. Still in 2022, Styles will also appear on the big screen with the drama “Don’t Worry, Honey”, in which he will live a romance with Florence pugh (“Black Widow”).
Last week, Harry Styles released his third studio album, “Harry’s House”, which features the hit “As It Was”, and the tracks that were featured at Coachella 2022, “Late Night Talking” and “Boyfriends”.
