The third film of the blue hedgehog has already been confirmed, but there is still no set release date.
“Sonic 2” was successful in theaters, and is now ready to enter the Paramount+ catalog. And luckily for fans, they won’t have to wait much longer to see the blue hedgehog action sequence and Jim Carrey. The news was given by the streaming on his Twitter account, this Monday (23).
The plot of the sequel shows the villain Dr. robotnik (Carrey) returning from his exile on a distant planet after finding “the source of all power“. But he is not alone… the Dr. has the company of knuckleswho proves to be an opponent worthy of the title character.
Check out the official synopsis: “After staying in Green Hills, Sonic wants to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test will come with the return of Dr. Robotnik, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald with the power of destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they will embark on a journey across the world to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.”.
The cast still has Idris Elba (“Revenge & Punishment”), as knuckles; Ben Schwartz (“Leslie’s Confusion”), such as the sonic; James Marsden (“Enchanted”), Natasha Rothwell (“Wonder Woman 1984”) and the participation of Colleen O’Shaughnessey (“Naruto”) dubbing tails.
In February of this year, Paramount took the opportunity to confirm the production of “Sonic 3”, in addition to a series starring knucklesvoiced by Elba, who will continue as the character’s voice in the series. No date has yet been set for both productions.
