Soviet interference in Hawkins

In season three, audiences discovered that the Soviet government is making its own interference in the Upside Down, operating in secret in Hawkins’ underground. Even though his works were discovered and shut down by the US government, there are still several indications that the Soviets still have several plans to be executed.

The (near) death of Hopper

Stranger Things season 3 ends with the tragic death of Jim Hopper after Joyce has to blow up the Soviets’ machine to save the world, but all this with the sheriff trapped inside the machine room. However, even though the characters are still grieving, the season’s post-credits scene shows Hopper now as a Russian prisoner, showing that he is, in fact, still alive!

Eleven’s loss of powers

In the last episode of the previous season, Eleven is seriously injured during the battle against the Mind Flayer at Starcourt Mall, Hawkins’ mall. Although she has recovered from her injuries, El loses her telekinesis powers, turning her into an ordinary teenager. But will this last for long?

Steve’s unrequited crush on Robin

There is no doubt that Steve and Robin are one of the greatest duos in the series. Starting with a small rivalry at work, the two evolve to become great friends, which causes Steve to develop feelings for Robin during his journey to unlock the Soviets’ secrets. The Hawkins Byers Change

Due to all the happenings in Hawkins lately, Joyce decides to move out of town with all her family and Eleven, in order to look for a fresh start after times of mourning and a lot of confusion. The change interferes with several relationships in the series, such as Eleven and Mike, Jonathan and Nancy, as well as distancing Will from his friends.
