The immersive experience eternity and the interactive installation street of poets won ex aequo the Grand Prix during the 13thay Numix Awards, awards that celebrate excellence in digital creativity. In total, 31 productions, including seven from outside Quebec, were awarded Tuesday night at a gala held at Olympia in Montreal.
This is the first time that the jury of the Prix Numix, an annual competition launched in 2010 by the non-profit organization XN Québec, has been awarded its highest honor in two separate works.
Presented last summer at Arsenal Contemporary Art in Montreal, eternity invited the public to visit the International Space Station (ISS) using a virtual reality headset.
This traveling exhibition produced by Felix & Paul Studios and Studio PHI benefited from photos taken by ten ISS astronauts – including Quebecer David St -Jacques – equipped with special cameras.

There are seven birdhouses that contain as many voices as Quebec poets: Joséphine Bacon, Virginie Beauregard D., France Cayouette, Patrice Desbiens, André Duhaime, Kristina Gauthier-Landry and Claude Paré.
This work was done as part of 22e edition of the Festival de la Poésie de Montréal, in collaboration with La Boîte interactive, is intended for a family audience and can be experienced using a smart phone.

Two podcasts from Radio-Canada OHdio were honored at the Numix Awards. Where did I come from: local raphosted by Olivier Boisvert-Magnen and Olivier Arbor-Masse, explores the origins of hip-hop culture in the Montreal and Quebec regions.
Beliefsa creation by journalists Brigitte Noël, Jeff Yates and Simon Coutu, focuses on protest movements, in particular people opposed to health measures related to COVID-19 and followers of QAnon’s conspiracy theory .
The Tribute Prize was awarded to Roger Parent, President and Founder of Thinkwell Montreal, a studio for creating immersive and interactive experiences. The multidisciplinary artist (he is also a sculptor, photographer and scenographer) has collaborated on more than 5,000 shows in North America, Europe and Asia.
