Netflix series returns with new episodes in September
The cast of “Cobra Kai” has gained important reinforcements for the fifth season. According to Deadline, the actress Alicia Hannah Kimfrom “Minx”, will live the ally of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) in the new episodes of the Netflix series.
The actress was cast to play Kim Da-Euna South Korean sensei who is involved in the plans to Terry Silver to expand the Cobra Kai brand.
The series is set 34 years after the events of the “Karate Kid” franchise (the 1984 All Valley tournament) and follows the story of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), a failed alcoholic seeking redemption, by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai dojo, reigniting his rivalry with the now-successful, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who has struggled to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. miyagi.
The martial arts series created by Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossbergand healalso has a cast made up of Courtney Henggeler (“The Big Bang Theory”), Mary Mouser (“Criminal minds”), Tanner Buchanan (“The Fosters: Adoptive Family”), Ralph Macchio (“The Deuce”), Xolo Maridueña (“Parenthood”), Jacob Bertrand (“Player #1”) and more.
All four seasons of “Cobra Kai” are available on Netflix. Season five premieres on September 7.
