“Loki”: Showrunner Promises Even Darker Season 2

Filming for the second season of “Loki” won’t start until June, but the showrunner Michael Waldron already has promises to the public about the new wave of episodes. According to him, fans can look forward to an even darker story and “strange”.

After working on “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and all the different concepts for the sequel, especially the multiverse explained in the first year of production with Tom Hiddleston, Waldron told the polygon who intends to dare even more in the new season. “I don’t know if I could be any weirder than we were in season one. We had an alligator drinking wine from a kiddie pool. That felt like the peak of Mount Everest from weird! I think there’s a lot of opportunity there!”he explained.

“We’re always looking to outdo ourselves, but I hope it’s always character-driven. And yes, I learned in this movie again, no idea is too crazy. You can write Stephen Strange owning his own corpse, and maybe you end up shooting him. It encourages me to be bold, which is good.”added the filmmaker.

The first season of “Loki” showed what happened to the God of Mischief (Hiddleston) right after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” (2019). After managing to escape with the Tesseract, he ends up captured by the Temporal Variation Authority (AVT) and must serve his sentence for breaching the Sacred Timeline.

On site, Loki gets a second chance to redeem himself if he can help the Time Guardians, protectors of the Timeline, capture a variant, which is causing trouble in time and space.

The cast has Sophia Di Martino as sylvie; Owen Wilson as furniture; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer; and Wunmi Mosaku as B-15 Hunter. The new season of the series will be directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead, who recently worked on the series “Knight of the Moon”. The duo will replace Kate Herronwho will remain on the project as a producer.

The complete first season of “Loki” is available in the Disney+ catalog. The new episodes do not yet have a premiere date.
