I feel so lucky to contribute to the artistic and creative development of the new generation of Latino artists. It is something that makes me very happy because to the extent that they grow and that they have the educational tools for their development, we are investing in the future of our sound ”, said Camilo.

“There’s more talent than opportunity in the Latin world, and I’m excited that the gap that divides one thing from another can be reduced,” he said.

The source of the idea

Camilo made this solidary decision after participating in an educational program at the Latin Grammy called “En Las Escuelas”, in Miami. These events provide information to music students and connect them with Latin music professionals, as well as supporting music education departments with limited resources.

The Foundation invites artists, professional musicians, and sound engineers to visit middle and high school, college, or music institutions to tell students their personal stories and experiences, highlighting the effort needed to surpass the career hurdles.

The goal is for students to learn how to optimize the educational opportunities presented to them and thus give them an advantage and solid academic preparation so that they can compete in the world of music.
