“Sonic 2” becomes the most watched animation of 2022 in Brazil

“Sonic 2 – The Movie” became the most watched animation of 2022 in Brazil. The news was revealed by Comscore Movieson their social networks, stating that the Blue Hedgehog sequel has surpassed the three million viewers mark, after about eight weeks in theaters.

In all, the profit converted into collection amounts to R$ 54.7 million. The film has received positive reviews from experts and the public. It also became the highest-grossing film in the United States based on a game. Check out the post on Twitter:

Excited with the success of “Sonic 2” and with the third film more than confirmed, the voice actor of sonic, Ben Schwartzhas shown his enthusiasm for the new project and has already revealed some ideas he had for the next story.

“It’s very emotional and surreal. I’ve been doing voiceovers since 2005, so it’s really exciting that something I’ve done in the voice over world is starting to catch on with people and people are getting excited about it.”said to The Playlist. “In [‘Sonic 2’], we rock so hard, and in ‘3’, it’s going to be crazy, it’s going to be crazy! Can not wait”completed Schwartz.

The plot of “Sonic 2” shows the villain Dr. robotnik (Jim Carrey) returning from his exile on a distant planet after finding “the source of all power“. But he is not alone… the Dr. has the company of knuckles (Idris Elba), which proves to be an opponent worthy of the title character.

The list also includes Jlove marsden (“Enchanted”), Natasha Rothwell (“Wonder Woman 1984”) and the participation of Colleen O’Shaughnessey (“Naruto”) dubbing tails.

“Sonic 2” arrived on Paramount+ last Tuesday, May 24th.
