Paramount+ releases trailer for series that makes satire on the setting of League of Legends – Disclosure / Paramount+

Paramount+ released this Friday (27) the official trailer for the comedy series “Players”, which uses the competitive scenario of the game League of Legends as a backdrop for a satire.

The production is a co-creation of Peabody Award winners, Tony Yacenda and Dan Perraultand a CBS Studios production in partnership with Funny Or Die.

The series is formatted in the style of a documentary and follows a fictional team of professional esports from the game Riot, looking to win his first championship. The main obstacle to victory is getting the team’s prodigy, a 17-year-old rookie, and the 27-year-old veteran, to put their egos aside and work together. Check out the trailer:

The cast of the series brings Misha Brooks like Creamcheese, Da’Jour Jones as Organization and Ely Henry like his trainer, Kyle Braxton. Also in the list: Holly Chou, Stephen Schneider, Peter Thurnwald, Youngbin Chung, Moses Storm, Alexa Mansour, Noh “Arrow” Dong-Hyeon, Michael “Miko” Ahn, Luke Tennie and Dan Perrault.

The first three episodes of “Players”, which is directed by Yacenda (“American Vandal”), will be available from June 17 in the Paramount+ catalogue.
