Rockabilly musician Ronnie Hawkins has died

Ronnie Hawkins, the southern rockabilly artist who moved to Canada and became the godfather to a generation of rock musicians, has died at the age of 87.

Her husband confirmed to the Canadian Press that he died Sunday morning after a long battle with the disease.

Ronnie Hawkins is known for his lively personality and enthusiastic presence on stage.

The singer of Who Do You Love ?, Ruby Baby at Mary Lou attracted many artists under the wing of its support group, the Hawks. Some have become big names in music.

Five members, including Levon Helm and Robbie Robertson, will make up that celebrity The band.
