“The Vampire Diaries” series canceled by The CW after four seasons
The synopsis for the ending of “Legacies” was finally revealed by The CW (via comic book), and among the details that drew the most attention, was the possible return of some characters from “The Vampire Diaries”, an original production of the vampire universe. The episode titled “Just Don’t Be A Stranger, Okay?” (“Just Don’t Be a Stranger, Okay?” in Portuguese), is scheduled to air next Thursday, June 16.
The synopsis doesn’t reveal anything too specific about the episode, only noting that each of the series’ main characters “will reflect on recent events” when considering what comes next. Check out:
“WELCOME HOME – hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse), Kaleb (Chris Lee), Jed (Ben Levin), Cleo (Omono Okojie) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) reflect on recent events and what’s next for each. hope and Lizzie find solace from unexpected but welcome sources. Also starring Aria Shaghasemi and Leo Howard. The episode was written by Julie Plec and Brett Matthewsand directed by Michael A. Allowitz“informs the text.
All right until the moment you say “Hope and Lizzie will be comforted by unexpected but welcome sources”. With that, fans of the universe automatically felt a possible connection with the returns of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) for hopeand Caroline Forbes (Candice King) for Lizzie. For obvious reasons, the duo has been getting a lot of requests from viewers for appearances since “Legacies” debuted, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
And despite this gap, Morgan has fueled even more expectations with its enigmatic messages. Especially the last one made on his Twitter account, which among the written verses, the word “finale” is formed.
“Legacies” is a spin-off of “The Originals”, focused on the adult life of Hope Mikaelson (Russell), daughter of the hybrids Klaus (Morgan) and hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), descended from the most powerful lineage of vampires, werewolves, and witches. She goes on to attend the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, a haven where she can learn to control her supernatural abilities and impulses.
The series’ cancellation announcement was made later this May, putting a definitive end to “The Vampire Diaries” universe 13 years later. The fourth season is currently being broadcast on The CW in the United States, and the final episode will air on June 24th. In Brazil, “Legacies” is available on HBO Max.
