June will begin and streaming platforms will begin announcing their news of the month. Disney+the multimedia service aimed at children and young people, continues to expand its catalog of original films and series.

In addition to new stages of Obi-Wan Kenobithe series from the Star Wars universe that debuted at the end of May, a new tank from Marvel: the miniseries Ms. Marvelthe first Muslim character in the comics.

Prior to that premiere, most importantly in June, the platform is unveiling this Wednesday the 1st of a documentary short film offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at that production titled A Fan’s guide to Ms. Marvel.

The brief traces the origin of the story as a comic book through its development and production by Marvel Studios at Disney+, and includes interviews with its award-winning filmmaking team and series star Iman Vellani.

A week after the previous documentary guide came the global premiere of Ms. Marvel and the story of Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager who grew up in Jersey City.

An avid gamer and greedy fan-fiction writer, Kamala -played by Vellani- is a fan of superheroes and has a tremendous imagination in them, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. However, Kamala feels invisible at home and at school, until she has superpowers like the heroes she has always admired.

More Marvel series and three more original premieres

On Wednesday, June 29, Disney+ will add all seasons of various Marvel series to its catalog in Latin America. We talked about three seasons of Daredevil Y Jessica Joness, the two deliveries of Kamaong Bakalthe only season of The Defenders and the two periods of The punisher.

With these additions, subscribers will be asked to update parental controls on their profile to access the full catalog, which from that day on will include 16+ and 18+ content. This update will allow you to restrict content to each profile as well as add a lock PIN.
