German series will show dark events that take place on a ship
Netflix released on social media a new preview of “1899”, a new series of Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, creators of the acclaimed series “Dark”. The promotional video confirms that the official teaser will be released by the streaming platform on June 6th. Watch:

The series will be set in the 19th century and will follow a ship leaving London for New York. The production will show how the lives of passengers will change forever after encountering another migrant vessel adrift at sea.
The cast of “1899” has Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen (“The Rain”), Miguel Bernardeau (“Elite”), Andreas Pietschmann (“Dark”), Mathilde Ollivier (“Kill or die”), Emily Beecham (“Cruella”), Maciej Musiał (“The Witcher”), Alexandre Wilaume (“The Wheel of Time”), among others.
The premiere date of 1899 has not yet been released by Netflix.
