Javier Bardem (“Where the Weak Have No Time”), the performer of stilgarleader of the Fremen tribe, took advantage of his time at the Cannes Film Festival to give some updates on “Dune: Part 2”, an upcoming sequel to Denis Villeneuve. In addition to the original cast formed by Zendaya (“Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“The Greatest Showman”), Oscar Isaac (“Moon Knight”), Jason Momoa (“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”), Josh Brolin (“Deadpool 2”), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (“Sex Education”), Javier Bardem (“Mother and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy) Christopher Walken (“The Outlaws”), Florence Pugh (“Black Widow”) and Austin Butler (“Elvis”) complete the team.
“Dune – Part 2” is set to begin filming in the fall, with a release date of October 20, 2023.
