For those who don’t know, the search for the CinemaScore has been going on since 1978. Voting takes place directly in North American cinemas, with audiences filling out voting cards right after they’ve seen a movie and assigning grades ranging from “A+” (best grade) to “F” (worst note).

Among other achievements, the sequel to “Top Gun – Aces Indomâveis”, a classic from the 1980s, also obtained 96% approval from critics specialized in Rotten Tomatoes. While at national box office, it reached the Top 1 of rankingedging out “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which held the top spot for three weeks.

In “Top Gun: Maverick”, Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is responsible for mentoring the new group of professionals trained by Top Gun, which is getting smaller every day because drones have become so popular and economical in recent years. So, in order to attempt a near-suicide mission with the enemy, he will need to teach pilots how to be impeccable in their performance, but problems from the past increasingly surround him, making it difficult to maintain complete success without losing his true essence.

The list also has Miles Teller (“The Offer”), Glen Powell (“Stars Beyond Time”), Jennifer Connelly (“Tomorrow Express”), Jon Hamm (“On the Run”), Ed Harris (“The Lost Daughter”) and Lewis Pullman (“The Strangers: Prey at Night”). Val Kilmer also returns to Part 2 reprising Ice Man.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, “Top Gun: Maverick” hits theaters nationwide this Thursday, May 26.
