This Tuesday (31), the official profile of Star Wars on Twitter left its official position on the racist attacks by posting an open message in support of its new star:
“We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and excited to see Reva’s story unfold.”, reads the official statement. “If someone wants to make you feel unwanted, we have only one thing to say: we resist.“
In another tweet, the account added: “There are over 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be racist”.

Unfortunately, ingram is not the only one to suffer these types of attacks, as other black actors have also been targets of racist comments, including Kelly Marie Tran and John Boyega.
The actress herself responded to the criticism in her stories on Instagram, acknowledging that he received “hundreds of racist messages”.
“There’s nothing anyone can do to stop this hate“, he declared. Although, she admitted that she wasn’t sure what her objective was when presenting her thoughts, she continued: “I think what bothers me is this feeling that I have to shut up and accept. I kind of have to smile and bear it. And I’m not like that.“
The actress thankedto the people who appear to me in the comments, in the places where I won’t put myself” and ended with: “To the rest of you, you are strangers.“
ABOUT “OBI-WAN KENOBI”
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” will have 6 episodes and will feature the return of Ewan McGregor (“The Impossible”) as the Jedi Master who trained Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), and years later introduced Luke Skywalker knowledge of the Force. If his participation is confirmed, it would not be a big surprise for the fans, but a reason for celebration, since McGregor brought the character to life in the saga created by George Lucasbetween episodes I and III.
