Showtime production is an adaptation of the film released in 1980
Showtime has released the trailer for “American Gigolo”, its new series inspired by the 1980s film starring Richard Gere. In the new project, Jon Bernthal (“Marvel – Daredevil”) lives a man who runs a program and ends up being accused of murder.
The series accompanies julian (Bernthal), a former luxury prostitute from Los Angeles, United States, who is released from prison after 15 years serving time for a crime he did not commit. He tries to start his life over, but old relationships surface, and letting go of the past won’t be as easy as he thought.

The list also includes Gretchen Mol (“Boardwalk Empire”), which plays Michellea former lover of julian; and Rosie O’Donnell (“Sintonia de Amor”), as the detective who remains intrigued by the case that led to the protagonist’s arrest all those years ago.
Check out the series synopsis: “Julian earns money as a luxury escort for older women in Los Angeles. He strikes up a relationship with Michelle, wife of a local politician, without expecting any payment. When one of his clients is murdered, Detective Sunday starts questioning him. , and Julian suspects he’s being framed. At the same time, Michelle begins to fall in love with him.”.
