Tenor Marc Hervieux will be the new director general of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec (CMQ), a network of educational institutions in seven cities in the province. She replaces Nathalie Letendre, who has held the position since February 2019.
It was the president of CMQ’s board of directors, Monique Leroux, who made the announcement Wednesday night via a press release. Marc Hervieux’s profile will allow him to successfully take over the roles of director of the Conservatoryhe assured.

Marc Hervieux maintains a close relationship with his new work environment, graduating at age 27 from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, a public school affiliated with CMQ.

Winner of several prizes and scholarships, Marc Hervieux has recorded ten albums, three of which have been proven gold records. He also won three Félix awards at the ADISQ galas.
Appointed for five years, Marc Hervieux will begin his term as director general of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec on August 22nd.
