After confirming its 2022 extended edition of eleven days in Barcelonathe mother version of Primavera Sound presents the largest formation in its history to date.
There will be more than 413 artists and more than 500 shows, anticipating the eclecticism and impact that the first edition of Primavera Sound Buenos Aires promises, which will be held on October 14 and November 7 to 13 in different parts of the city of Buenos Aires. .

The prestigious Spanish festival will be held over four weekends with artists such as The Strokes, Tyler The Creator, Pavement’s Exclusive Reunion, Tame Impala, Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Beck, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Jorja Smith, Megan Thee Stallion, among others .
As part of the celebration of its 20th anniversary, Primavera Sound will show the fundamental pillars that, after 19 editions, continue to distinguish the Barcelona festival as one of the most resonant in the world, such as the sustainability, gender equality, social commitment and urban integration. These are values that ensure that Primavera Sound’s impact as an international community goes beyond what is strictly musical.

Primavera Sound is one of the most important and prestigious music festivals in the world, a unique experience that transcends the purely musical, transforming itself into a first-rate cultural event.
It was created in the city of Barcelona, having held its first edition 20 years ago. This is a festival that has always stood out for the extreme quality of its training – recognized around the world by musicians, industry leaders and specialized media -, for its high standards of sustainable development and commitment to the environment, and for its great involvement with the local community of each city where it happens.
As a result of these values and the commitment to gender equality in its posters since 2019, Primavera Sound became the first large format festival to collaborate with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals campaign since that year.
2022 will be the twentieth edition of the Barcelona festival and will take place from 2 to 12 June with more than 500 bands playing both in its main venue, Parque del Fórum, and in dozens of venues across the city. , thus transforming Barcelona into one of the most important musical and cultural epicenters in the world, welcoming every year more than 100,000 tourists from more than 125 countries.
Tickets for the 2022 edition sold out in 48 hours this year. With 11 festival days, 500,000 attendees, 540 concerts and 10,000 workers, Primavera Sound has established itself as the largest festival in Europe.
Other countries
In addition to Barcelona, the festival takes place in Porto (Portugal) and in 2022 it will land in Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Los Angeles and new destinations to be announced shortly.
Artists such as Radiohead, Rosalía, Bjork, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, J Balvin, Tame Impala, Blur, LCD Soundsystem, Pulp, Aphex Twin, Sonic Youth, The White Stripes, Solange, Patti Smith, among more than 3000 other artists, have walked through the Primavera Sound stage, highlighting the versatility, innovation and musical excellence that characterize the event.
The advance sale of the Argentine version began at the end of April. Travis Scott, Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Lorde, Jack White, Pixies, Charli XCX, Interpol, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers, Cat Power, Beach House, Arca and Father John Misty will arrive.
