Distributor Les Films Opale has posted the official trailer forArlettethe film was directed by Mariloup Wolfe with Maripier Morin as Minister of Culture.
Maripier Morin’s inclusion in the distribution has been a reaction to Safia Nolin’s denunciation of her in 2020 for sexual harassment and racism.
Other headliners for the feature film include Gilbert Sicotte, David La Haye, Paul Ahmarani, Anne Casabonne and Benoît Brière.
Arlette tells the story of Arlette Saint-Amour, a director of a fashion magazine who became Quebec’s Minister of Culture overnight after she was approached by the Prime Minister, who wanted to boost the image of her government.
The the film revolves around a major theme: the power of the imageaccording to a press release.
First recognized in her front -camera roles in her youth, Mariloup Wolfe has proven herself behind the camera for several series (Breakups, Hubert and Fannyamong others) and movies (Feet in absence at Jouliks).
Arlettewritten by Marie Vien, will be released in theaters on August 5th.
