For the fifteenth consecutive year, Radio-Canada is presenting its Revelations of the Year, a group of promising young artists shining in five distinct music genres. For the first time, the sixth Revelation was added, which aims to celebrate an Aboriginal creator or creator.
Pop artist Lysandre, rapper Lova, Quebec-Mexican singer-songwriter Noé Lira, jazz pianist Ariane Racicot, singer Rose Naggar-Tremblay and Innu folk indie musician Kanen are the talents the public broadcaster chose for 2022-2023 its vintage.
We are always proud, as a public broadcaster, to highlight these upcoming artists and help them get to know their audiences.said in a press release Caroline Jamet, general manager of Radio, Audio and Greater Montreal.
The young creators, selected by a committee of experts from the music industry, will benefit from help from Radio-Canada to advance their careers, particularly by offering them a showcase in the its platform. Artists are also entitled to a week of training and creation.

Since 2008, the initiative has supported more than 60 artists at the start of their careers, including Ariane Roy, Cœur de pirate, Émile Bilodeau, Lisa Leblanc, Hubert Lenoir and Les Louanges.
Lysandre, Statement in song
Initially an artist and pianist, Lysandre branched out from a classical music education to devote himself to a promising career as a singer-songwriter.
After making his debut in the Quebec music industry within the group The Loodieshe released his first album, Without forgettingin March 2022.
LOVA, Revelation in rap
In rap and song, young rapper Lova was quickly noticed by several members of the Quebec hip-hop community, including Imposs, Lary Kidd and Tizzo.
He recently released a series of microalbums (Cool LOL, Thick but warm, EP3) under the Joy Ride Records label which has caught the attention of cultural specialists and journalists.
His title cookie-popThe, which is closer to the main sounds, is chosen by radio stations and shows the ability to juggle several styles of music.
Noé Lira, Revelation in mixed music
A first-generation Quebec-Mexican artist, actress, activist, dancer and accordionist, Noé Lira discovered the integration of forms, languages and cultures into his music.
After a series of exploratory residencies around the world and concerts in Spain, he settled in Montreal and launched his first microalbum. Latiendo la Tierra in 2021, a project in which she surrounded herself with a women’s team.
The result is a colorful musical journey, full of Latin rhythms and sounds of nature.
Ariane Racicot, Revelation on jazz
A master’s student at McGill, young pianist and composer Ariane Racicot has made a name for herself on the stages of Dièse Onze, Upstairs and Résonance, as well as on social networks.
He released the album with his trio Floating in May, combining modal jazz, Latin jazz, fusion jazz and metal jazz.
Rose Naggar-Tremblay, Revelation in Classical Music
A versatile contralto, Rose Naggar-Tremblay is recognized for the richness of her timbre and the brilliance of her interpretation.

Kanen, Revealing the Native Artist
From the Innu community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam, Karen Pinette-Fontaine alias Kanen launched her first microalbum Karen Pinette-Fontaine in 2019, where he revealed his sensitive folk universe, similar to that of the Boulay Sisters and Safia Nolin.
She writes songs in French and partly in Innu-Aimun, a language she is trying to learn in the process of reusing identity.
After collaborating with Elisapie and Louis-Jean Cormier, Kanen is currently working on the creation of his first album, scheduled for 2023.
