The police lowered the Chaqueño Palavecino from the stage during a festival and the singer exploded with fury: “Non torno”
A show that toasted Oscar “El Chaco” Palavecino in Cowboys, Salta province, it ended abruptly after the police from that province were present on stage and asked the singer and his band to finish their presentation.
The folklorist did not remain silent and, in front of his audience, who had waited until late at night to see him sing, exploded against the organization because they were taking him off the stage. “Sorry everyone. I’m leaving. The cop in charge has won. All right, I’m leaving.”. If you want to see me somewhere, I will never go back to Cowboys. I go to another place“.
And then he lashed out at police personnel, who forced the singer to leave his show. “Thanks to all of these. They send them to cut me off and I’m not a criminal, they’re going to catch all these cats. So not me. I am the people, brother, “he said with great fury before stepping off the stage and smashing the microphone to the ground.

The incident occurred at dawn on Friday during the musician’s participation in the 22nd edition of the “Vaqueros sings in Güemes” festival, as part of the acts in commemoration of the greatest hero of the Salta province, General Martín Miguel of Guemes. In the midst of the show, the commissioner for the operation ordered its completion, as it would exceed the schedule established with the event organizers.
The striking thing was the times of the grid: it is that the artist started singing shortly after four in the morning. “I will never go back to the Cowboys, I don’t owe anyone anything,” he said after the show, still very angry.
And he added, with disappointment after his recital was interrupted: “I felt used. People, people, they were happy and they let them up and they interrupted you, what the hell are we here for?
As it later emerged, the show had been extended beyond the allotted time, but the artist had previously shown his anger with the organizers because they had put him on the grid late. And, of course, both he and his audience decided to continue the show for a while longer, hence the singer’s anger.
According to the local police, the show had exceeded the schedule allowed by the municipality.
The festival, organized by the Cowboys City Council, commissioned by Mayor Daniel Moreno, had a ticket value of between 1,500 and 2,000 pesos. And several people asked for their money back because it all ran out quickly and the main course for many was seeing the whole Chaqueño show.
After this controversial episode, the folklorist spoke to Todo Salta Noticias and once again showed his anger at the mistreatment he suffered as an artist. “I sing with my soul, don’t take me away anymore, I’m not a criminal, I’m a singer. They stopped the show because the police came, they send me late and people ask for more, “he concluded, very upset, for not being able to finish the show, which had been promoted all month in that city.
