Dog, a wild journey: dog, man, marijuana and tantric sex

It is already known, the relationship of a human being with a dog is difficult to compare with another. The one with Jackson Briggs (channing tatum) also with Lulù.

The film, which marks the actor’s debut from Fox catcher in co-direction (the other director is Reid Carolin, who has been the producer of several Tatum titles, magical Mikea The Logan scam or special command 2and which is also his first film as a director) draws on the beaten path of the journey where one character and the other meet, become attached and, well, the rest is left to the viewer’s judgment.

Tatum’s debut, which we hadn’t seen on a screen in four years, except for his appearance in Free boy, has a point in common with his real life. Yes, the relationship with his pet, which not surprisingly had the same name as the one in the film (Lulu), which Tatum lost three years ago when he died.

the plot of Dog, a wild ride places him, who served in the army and is now practically unemployed, and who wants to return to the front, transporting the dog – which is indomitable, especially from the trauma of the “service” for the army abroad – to the funeral of the his late friend and comrade in arms.

So both Jackson and Lulu carry pain, visible and other scars and trauma.

And the trip to the United States, as we have seen on several occasions, will help both of them not only to get to know each other better, but also to learn from each other and vice versa.

Marijuana and Tantric Sex

But the film is strange. Strange as to what the script raises, because it leads the couple to cross paths with more bizarre characters, from a likely Tantric threesome with two women in Portland, to a marijuana farm, and a racist attack in a luxury hotel. All the scenes, which presumably alienate the child audience, are, yes, crowned with humor. Or something similar.

That’s how dogon the one hand he focuses on the paralyzing post-traumatic stress of the soldiers, and on the other he throws himself into comedy (Jackson pretends to be blind to get a free hotel room).

But hey, that’s what we said above, personal relationships are all different, and this one could only be. For anyone who loves dogs, Dog will presumably be great, with a thoughtful message included.
