Hellfest was one of Kilmister’s favorite festivals. Motörhead were present at the inaugural edition of it and were always one of the main acts in subsequent editions.
On top of that, the affection that united the band to its French fans has always been immense, which is why it makes even more sense that Lemmy will always be present at the festival so that his fans can pay tribute to him.
The ceremony will also give people a chance to attend in his memory and see a miniature replica of the urn that holds his ashes at Hollywood’s Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Fans who want to share their comments, memories and experiences can do so using the hashtag #LemmyLivesAtHellfest.

Lemmy Kilmister died on December 28, 2015. Prostate cancer complicated by a complex picture of heart failure, followed by arrhythmia.
Days after his passing at the age of 70 on January 9, 2016, a warm tribute was paid to him at the Rainbow Bar And Grill on the Sunset Strip, Hollywood. Rob Halford, of Judas Priest, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo of Metallica, the great Slash of Guns N ‘Roses and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and ex Nirvana were part of the game. In that tribute, the ashes were already shown in the usual cavalry hat worn by the rude metalhead. The ballistics plan was still somewhat premature.
The funeral was streamed live on YouTube with more than 230,000 viewers. In his 2002 autobiography, White Line Fever, Lemmy wrote: “People don’t get better when they die, they only talk about themselves as if they were, but that’s not true! They are still idiots. They are dead idiots! a really great life, but at least it was fun.
The story will continue because it is also revealed that the charismatic and robust bassist will have his own biopic. At the moment little is known about who will be the actor who is being encouraged to get into the frontman’s skin.
Part of the ashes of Lemmy Kilmister, myth and legend of the Motorhead, were divided into bullets and distributed among his closest friends.
