From the beginning, Babasónicos performed recitals that went beyond the simple succession of songs. They have always tried to go one step further, and this is how in the 90s they distinguished themselves with authentic events where each show at the Cemento could include a different concept of costumes and set design. In the 2000s, they could sometimes turn Obras or Luna Park into a rave.
Today, without ever repeating itself and with a permanent dose of surprise in their albums and concerts, the Babasónicos get that the effect of their presentations is like the best drug: a bombardment of sensations in which moments of euphoria, pogo, dance and introspection.

The band clearly demonstrated this in the first of two shows at the Movistar Arena (there will be a third in October), where they have combined the best of their repertoire without forgetting to present a new album, Trench. And despite the fact that he had already filled the same stadium just a couple of months ago, everything seemed different and new, once again managing to surprise and shock.
And just as the list of songs was perfect, the sound was magnificent and the lighting of his eternal collaborator Sergio Lacroix was enriched, while maintaining the general concept of the April show: aiming with a battalion of followers to the highest peak. of the roof of the property, then turn the coordinated shape on all sides, first with white and then adding the colors.

The result brought the audience into a state of permanent excitement, in which not only the beginning and end of the songs were cheered, but also the shocking changes of the lights, as if it were a bowling alley in the middle of an electronic party. . In the exchange there were dances and pogo, and in the audience most stood up to try a few small steps in front of their seats.

With a new album under his arm, Babasónicos is now embarking on his “Bye Bye Tour”, named after the first single from Trench and not for a farewell or separation announcement, as some on social media believed.
It lasted two hours and nearly thirty songs, with vocalist Adrián Dárgelos moving from the stage itself to a catwalk that put him among the country people, while both multi-instrumentalists Diego Uma and Carca, and keyboardist Diego Tuñón, bassist Tuta Torres and the drummer Panza. Only guitarist Mariano Roger had a moment on the catwalk without my devilwhere he took a few steps forward.
The beginning was with a succession of successes: Bye bye, the hot ones Y female dogthen move on to epic Flora and Faun. Dárgelos’ brief greeting was “Good evening, thank you, welcome to the show”.
