-When did you do “Mission 08”? The video looks like a blockbuster.

-Three months ago. It turned out very well and I really enjoyed it. I have wanted to do it with Alan Gómez for a while, who besides being a producer is a DJ. I wanted to create it like this, working from scratch, as if it were a remixed song. The RKT sound is something I dare say is the DJ sound, because they made it, mixing and remixing other stuff.

Has the pandemic changed your plans, in terms of having to anticipate or delay projects?

-It worked in my favor because I had stopped my career for many years and wanted to completely renew my profile and do something different. I’ve been making music since I was 15, so it’s not that I’ve changed, but that I’ve grown up and like other things, other tastes, other interests, other thoughts. I also defined my ideologies and what I believe in more. So I wanted to be able to create from scratch and maybe carrying all that artistic past limited me. -Your next album would be to return to take your place?

-It is true that I have been absent for three years and have deleted my networks and my videos, but I feel more like doing something I like, regardless of whether others like it or not. And it had never worked like that. This time I did what he painted, without thinking much about it.

-The first step was when you got “38”?

-Yup. It was the first cut of the EP which will feature five songs. I made 38 with two girls who just started RKT and are breaking up. I wanted the message to be that we all get along, even if the male chauvinism of the environment only wants there to be one.

-Was the freestyle scene very macho when you started?

-I think so, but at that time I didn’t feel like that because I was a very macho woman too. I made jokes that didn’t match and I had a much more retrograde thinking than now, because I had grown up in the 90s and was raised among the quilomberos boys. I have accompanied all the changes that have taken place and I also feel quite responsible. I have dedicated all my adolescence to certain things that change and today I see a certain right to an apartment that is not paid for, and this makes me proud.

-You who were a pioneer, how do you see the current moment of urban music?

-Today Argentina is a world power in music. There are many parts of the world looking here. The barriers were broken and bridges were built in places that seemed unreachable. This gives a lot of expectations, illusions and hopes to the one who is initiating. Before, it all seemed like a utopia to make a living from rap. -I like having the opportunity to see how everything exploded, because maybe it makes me evaluate things differently. And that’s why I now dare to come up with anything because I know it’s profitable if you really put the time, work and love into it.

-How did you pass it to Lollapalooza?

-Optimal. It is an incredible stage and the sound is tremendous. People are very cool and there is a great energy. I had fun and we managed to put something together with a band, which is what I like the most but you can’t do that in the bowling alleys.

– After you were on tour?

-Yup. I was all over the interior of the country and Uruguay, with shows every weekend. In August we go to Colombia, Chile and the United States.

The acting

-And what’s your facet as an actress, or do you want to take a break from that?

– I want to re-I want to act! Even more than before, because I think I would face it with less shame. I like series and novels, but I’d also like to do something in a movie. I would like to start with a crazy role or make a horror movie! Develop a character that is in tune with tension.

-You can do both, what is your experience on this?

-It depends on the time it takes to work everything. It’s not the same as reciting and composing a song to be released once a week. But always dedicating the time that everyone requires.
