After the release of their new album exactly a month ago, Los Pericos embarked on a long tour that saw them touring in different cities in the United States and Mexico, and that in this first phase it continues through Spain, Costa Rica and Chile.
The band that turned reggae into a mass phenomenon in Argentina in the 1980s began this ambitious tour on June 9 in San Diego; Y completed nine more dates on US soil: Los Angeles, Berkeley, Denver, New York, Washington, Miami, Tampa and Chicago.
In many of those cities of the North American giant, Los Pericos performed live for the first time, previewing their latest studio work, Long live the parrots!integrated in covers of Latin American classics. They also shot some of the hits that have marked her career over the past 35 years.

From the United States crossed the border into Mexico Citywhere they gave a concert at the emblematic Pepsi Center WTC of the capital: about 8,000 people appreciated the return of the group to Aztec lands.
It was an exciting tour with exceptional local guests, since Juanchi Baleirón and the company had the company of Rubén Albarrán from Café Tacuba and Pino Ruelas from Los Estrambóticos. The Mexican tour continued through the cities of Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Guadalajara.
24 shows in two months

The first leg of this tour ends in Chile, where they have already scheduled four dates from August 4th to 7th. So Los Pericos they will cover more than 60,000 kilometers in 60 daysand will hold 24 concerts in 5 countries.
However, there won’t be much rest before the start of the second leg of the tour, which will take them to Colombia in October to perform in the cities of Medellín and Bogotá.

Viva Pericos !, a Latin selection
The original design for the new Los Pericos album was based on interpretation classics of the Spanish language musical repertoire. With that starting point, the group has put together a selection of Latin songs that have marked the history of the region, but crossed by the sound of the band.
It wasn’t an easy task. The group members had to agree and choose theirsonly 11 pieces from a repertoire of over five hundred.
In December last year, Los Pericos began celebrating their 35th birthday with a show at Konex.
In the end they succeeded, bringing together famous pieces by Espinoza Paz, Roberto Carlos, Miguel Matamorros, Marco Antonio Solís, Los Rodríguez, Jorge Drexler, Julio Iglesias, Robi Draco Rosa and Daniel Melero.
