As if that weren’t enough, last Wednesday it premiered three videos shot live (We have enlightened, Do not fall in love and 10 thousand) during his show at the Coliseo Theater, in October last year, on the occasion of the official presentation of Palmistryhis second solo album, where they recorded guests such as Los Auténticos Decadentes, Coti, Vic Mirallas from Spain and Monsieur Periné.

As for the acting, the series will premiere on Star + world robberyalong with Joaquín Furriel, and also has other filming in progress.

a sense of progress

“Being a solo artist has its advantages,” begins Benjamín Amadeo, not tired despite having spent a long afternoon reporting one after another. “I’m alone and I don’t have to consult with anyone about many things,” he adds.

He is particularly pleased with the result of the presentation tour of Palmistryfor the good response from the public and greater summoning power than on their previous tour.

“In Uruguay – he says – I played two weeks ago and the tickets were sold out a month earlier. That’s why we returned on November 4. And the energy was incredible, perhaps because apart from that I hadn’t been there since 2017 The idea was to go as soon as the album came out, but with the pandemic, all those plans were blown up, so it was awful, very exciting.

Outside the country, it also sold out in Chile a month ago, and the following includes dates in places like Mar del Plata. “I am very happy with the tour, the cities we return to and the cities we go to for the first time. What gives me the most pleasure is to go back to the cities where a certain number of people used to come and are now sold out a month earlier. That feeling of project progress, astounding for my size, gives me a lot of satisfaction, “he says.

Live palmistry

-How did you feel that the songs from the last album fit live?

-Optimal. She helped me a lot Palmistry He had a lot of shots. Due to the pandemic everything has lengthened, so in the assembly of the list of this tour some songs have already been tested. I got a little bit more insight into how they resonate with the audience and what show experience is put together.

-Is it the same show everywhere?

-Yup. I am very happy with how the concert is organized. And what I like most is having been respectful and attentive with the assembly in order to be able to replicate it in the different cities. Do not later pass things that cannot be carried or carried anywhere. We have the same show that we carry everywhere.

-Is it more fun to have two albums and be able to put together a song list with more variety than before?

– Totally. It is something that is not considered but it is reassuring to know that the entire repertoire you are playing is yours and that the people who will see you celebrate that it is your songs, even if there are some that generate more euphoria than others. She is the artist you will see.

-Are there still covers in the repertoire?

-No. Before I did it and I enjoyed it, because it’s a way to share music and give dynamism to the show. I would like that if a cover comes out of rehearsals with the band, or something very well thought out to put together, something that moves me and bears me. At this point I don’t think I miss you.

-If the tour ends in Vorterix, will you publish material in the summer or won’t you go on tour?

-I am preparing new songs and the Vorterix show will have new songs, previews. I’m already starting to put the models together and start the recording, mastering, video making and editing course. The idea is to release two or three songs in the rest of the year; starts shaking a little after working on the same record for so long.

– Do you think about albums or singles?

-I am learning that as much as I like the concept of the album, I can also release singles even if they don’t have a home or album afterwards. It doesn’t matter, they will live the same! I have a song called Nightly, which isn’t released on an album, and I play it live and people celebrate it and I enjoy doing it. In this sense, I lowered the claim of “Start a new album” a bit. It’s more like “The new songs start” and then let’s see where they end. But I know I want new songs.

-Maybe the lesson of the pandemic was “Let’s relax a little”.

-Of course! Especially that feeling that we don’t control things so much. We try to be more indulgent with ourselves.

-Don’t say “I have a perfect plan in two years”.

-You had! (laughs) I had a lot of travel and tour plans in countries like Mexico, but well, we kept what everyone could. And just like we’ve had that learning, the counter-learning is “Let’s enjoy what we have,” which is pretty good. Let’s go out and play the songs, which is a privilege, and let’s enjoy what we have. Anything that comes, whether it’s a surprise or a program, we’ll have fun.

The facet of acting

-How is the work schedule with the acting shoot?

-I shot in January which is why the tour started in the middle of the year. It was a major take, with a lot of deployment and size. He was a protagonist of a series called world robbery, with Joaquin Furriel. I understand that it comes out before the World Cup, because it is about a group that steals the World Cup. So, with the tour ending, we will have the premiere of that series, which I understand will take up a lot of my time promoting and accompanying that release.

-Tell me about the character.

-He’s a very nervous and misaligned guy, very overwhelmed. I had just become a father and used to go there every day with bags under my eyes, but the director told me they looked great on him. And for the character I had to put on weight, almost ten pounds, so now I’m still doing the work to slim it down.

-Other shots in the folder?

-Now I’m shooting a series, but quite spaced out in time, so I’m going to dedicate the second half to what would be the new songs.

Without prejudices

-How do you see the cross between audiences who go to shows because they know you from television and those who know you only through songs?

-I give you more a description than an analysis. I really like it when I see someone tag me on his he Instagram because he came to the concert and said he was great, but he doesn’t follow me. This gives me the idea that the song was what prompted him to buy a ticket, and it wasn’t my profile, nor does he care what I do as an actor.

– He came to see you because he liked your music.

-I am glad that the origin of that fan is the song he heard on the radio or raised by Shazam in a Chinese supermarket. It’s nice to give that power to the song and not so much to the figure. Because sometimes the TV personality can fade something, even if maybe that prejudice is dissolving more and more. You don’t have to fight so much with modules.

Future projects

-Who would you like to record with on the next album?

-I really like Jorge Drexler. I like Nathy Peluso, Pablo Alborán, Ricardo Mollo. I am so varied! I feel that I compose, produce and record based on how I listen to music, which is unrestricted. Or there is a postmodernism that allows us to listen to anything without feeling so much guilty. Alejandro Sanz and Faith No More move me. I like Dillon. The place where I feel most comfortable is in the Ibero-American song.

-What was your biggest show?

-The biggest shows were the Unico stadium before Ed Sheeran and the opening of the Abel Pintos River, which blew me away because it is something very gigantic and you will leave everything. In La Plata, the peculiarity was that the premise of production was to play only with the guitar, without even a pedal board. It was a great experience: alone in front of 42 thousand people with my acoustic guitar.
