Thor: Love and thunder reminds us that a movie wonder it must be fun.
Directed by Taiki Waititi (the former God of Thunder, Thor: Ragnarokand Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit), it was clear that if he himself was also in charge of co-writing the libretto for love and thunder I was going to combine comedy with action and adventure.
Add the presence of a to the cocktail Chris Hemsworth who feels so comfortable and looks so relaxed playing one of Marvel’s superheroes like no other, and that Jane Foster returns (Natalie Portman), the love of life of the blonde with long hair and blue eyes, and well, everything is ready.

All ready, all prepared, as the protagonist himself says, for “a classic Thor adventure”.
Ah, the villain was missing, which in Christian Bale’s viscous, cut and black and white skin is the most perfect balance.
Because Thor: Love and thunderas we said at the beginning, it gives us something that some Marvel productions, not that they had left aside, but let’s say that they were more interested in the structure, the Multiverse, than in providing action and a full-fledged laugh.
Chris Hemsworth, with a rocker look. The music of Guns N ‘Roses (director Taika Waititi is a fan) plays an important role.
Laughter did we say? Thor starts the movie with the Guardians of the Galaxy and if there is any group of Marvel characters who give more to comedy than them, please let me know. But later, when Gorr or the Butcher of the Gods (Bale) just start eliminating the gods in revenge for the death of their little daughter, and take the necrospade, then Thor will have to see them seriously.
No. It’s a joke.
Thor and, no, he doesn’t have the hammer, he has the Stormbreaker in his hand.
We mentioned the death of Gorr’s little daughter. Like no other Marvel movie, death is so tangible and real. Yes, in all Marvel movies dozens and dozens of secondary characters and some other heavy ones die. But death here is closer and more real than ever. The one about the little girl and the risk of death that Jane has to face.
Because Jane (not Jane Fonda or Jodie Foster: Jane Foster) is facing cancer and doesn’t have much to smile about. Until she picks up a book on Viking myths, she opens up to her, but right where Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir, is said to give vigor and good health, because she has cosmic powers. But I was devastated, you remember, right? Or what kind of Marvel fans are they?
The film has the humor that the director of the previous Thor (“Ragnarok”) and “Jojo Rabbit” films loves.
And Jane tries, stops chemo (Jane is stage 4 … of 4) and …
It is not cheap.
Telling more about the plot does not make sense, it is better to walk into the room and enjoy the film, which has several cameos, an abundance of gags, a long scene crazy max, music and references to Guns N ‘Roses, an Abba theme, silver-eyed Thor jumping ax Stormbreaker and Russell Crowe as a chubby Zeus. And this falls short of divinity.
Sitting thoughtfully, Thor waits for him to be told that it is necessary to win a battle. And, of course, they will tell you.
The scene where Thor undresses, well, is complemented by Waititi’s humor.
It is obvious that we must be careful of the New Zealand director, who does not stop working and who has already warned that the next Star Warsthat Lucasfilm has entrusted to him, will be very different and will not have in its plot any characters with the surname Skywalker.
Obviously there are not one but two post-credits scenes. However, the film isn’t one of Marvel’s long ones and doesn’t reach the two-hour mark.
