What happened to Pata Villanueva
In January 2021, Pata Villanueva had a domestic accident at her home in the Republic of Uruguay. She then suffered a skull fracture which left her in a coma for several days. She was on vacation on the Uruguayan coast and, returning from dinner, she fell down the stairs of her house. Even though she didn’t lose consciousness and asked for help, the picture was complicated.
On Saturday 13 January Pata was rushed to the Cantegril Sanatorium. There it was determined that he had sustained a severe skull injury and underwent surgery to decompress that area.
The professionals in charge of his health have prescribed a physiotherapy treatment to reverse the hemiplegia left on the right side of his body.
Pata Villanueva is recovering at home after having very serious health problems.
Later, in March of the same year, Villanueva continued her recovery and underwent a skull reconstruction operation with bone replacement, which was removed to decompress the affected area.
In October she was rushed to the German hospital. And then her son Robertino Tarantini confirmed that her mother’s health conditions were much more serious than initially believed.
“Yes, they had a colonoscopy. He had a hemorrhage, his red blood cells fell out and they gave him a blood transfusion. He takes a lot of drugs after the accident,” Robertino later explained.
Pata had planned to undergo an operation before the relapse he had and for which he is fighting for his life: “On October 28th they would have had a cranial aesthetic to continue completing the healing,” explained his relatives. As fate would have it, Pata also contracted a hospital infection that brought her to intensive care.
