And it is, without a doubt, Netflix’s most anticipated movie of the year.
That is why many talents, such as actors and directors are called to Hollywood, were available to the international press to speak with them. Today we have Ryan, who has shown the versatility of him by moving from the romantic drama of Blue Valentine, a love storya Voyageand of state secretsby and with George Clooney, a 2049 runner blade.

-You had made an action movie, like “Drive”, but never one of this size. What led you to star in it?
You know, that’s exactly it. I grew up watching action movies as a kid. I love them. They are probably what made me want to make movies in the first place, but I never got the chance to make a full action movie, you know? Again, like you’ve made action movies, but not a full action movie.
Undercover assassin. “When I found out that the Russo brothers were involved and I discovered the character, I knew it was the right movie.”
So I wanted to make one, but it was just about finding the right one. And when I found out that the Russo brothers were involved in that, and I found out what the character was like, I knew he was the right one.
In the gray man, Gosling is Six, an undercover CIA hired assassin who ends up facing another criminal (Lloyd Hansen, played by Chris Evans), who like him worked for the United States Intelligence Agency, in a fight against death. . It was directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, from the highest-grossing Marvel film, Avengers: End of the game.

-Anthony Russo just said that you are the “master” of minimalism in film acting. What do you think about this?
-I think this character is someone who has to go unnoticed and has to be able to be, you know, imperceptible in order to be The Gray Man. He definitely lent himself to that kind of acting quality, being someone who could go under the radar, imperceptible. So I was happy to play that way.

-And did you have to do a lot of risky work?
-It was a riskier job than if I took all the risky work I’ve done in my entire career. Yes, I did more in this movie. It was an incredible amount of action. I guess there are four or five action scenes in most action movies. And in this film we had nine. I didn’t know, I didn’t know. I thought it was normal, because I had never done an action movie like this before.
“I think in most action movies there are four or five action scenes. And in this movie we had nine …” he confessed.
But, you know, everyone on set was a little shocked at how much action we got. So yes, it was very challenging. But that’s why it was also so much fun. And I think that’s what makes it such a fun experience as a movie. It’s just that once it starts, it doesn’t stop.

Ryan spent months undergoing rigorous training, battling other stunts or stunts in a Dojo-like set not far from his home in Santa Barbara, California.
-And what was the most exhausting sequence you filmed?
-There were a couple of action sequences in the movie that we had to shoot multiple times. The great thing about working with the Russo brothers is that they will go on forever until a scene is right. And I’d tell you the plane sequence … We shot half of that scene, I think, over the course of a week, two weeks or something. And then we discarded it, when we saw how the editing was going and we realized that we should have had a completely different approach.
Filming took him to different cities around the world. “And some action scenes that we repeat over and over,” he said.
Also, you know, there’s a fight in the hospital between me and Dhanush, and we’ve been shooting it multiple times. So those scenes were the most complicated. They (the Russo brothers) were trying to … (shrugs). Much material was not used later.
Regarding his role in BarbieRyan seems happy enough to go back to a simpler comedy. “I had more fun making Barbie than any other movie I’ve ever made.”

-I was very amused by the mention of Ken, the character you will play in the movie “Barbie”, in the mouth of Lloyd (Chris Evans). Was he in the script or was he improvised?
-I do not know. I was not there when they filmed it … You have to ask her … -She says, knowingly, smiling.
Are you going to Marvel?
Ryan has said a thousand times that none of Marvel Studios has called him to join Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as John Travolta has also heard.

It was rumored that he could play Richard Rider, or Nova, a member of the intergalactic police force (the Nova Corporation), whose superpowers include superhuman strength, flight, and resistance to all types of damage.
But no, even if what Ryan commented is the superhero he would like to play. And it’s someone whose name sounds like Richard Rider: it is Ghost knight.
Or maybe it was a joke, because the character who already had the bruised face and body of Nicolas Cage at the cinema was accompanied on the screen by Eva Mendes, Gosling’s partner. with the actress hitch They met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011 and had two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, 7, and Amada Lee, 6.
