MTV Awards: all the nominations for the 2022 VMAs are known

MTV today revealed the highly anticipated 2022 Video Music Awards (VMA) nominations, featuring artists whose work and cultural impact have transformed the music industry and made headlines globally. Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X (7 each) lead this year’s nominations.

He is closely followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles (6 each), and Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd (5 each).

Leading the pack with 7 nominations each, Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X garnered multiple nominations for the hit collaboration Industry Baby, which had its world premiere live on stage at the 2021 VMAs, alongside Kendrick Lamar, who is been nominated for the first time. since 2018.

The enterprise of the Madonna

Madonna, who reigns as the most awarded artist in VMA history with 20 wins, becomes the only artist to be nominated in each of the VMA’s five decades (1980-2020), earning her 69th nomination for Madame X.

There are also 26 first-time nominees this year, including Anitta, Becky G, Karol G, Baby Keem (4), MTV artist PUSH GAYLE (2), Kacey Musgraves (2) and Måneskin (2) , all of them received multiple nominations in addition to the first nominations for Dove Cameron, ITZY, JID, Muni Long, Tems, Wet Leg, and others.

MTV VMA 2022 will return to celebrate the biggest names in music from the Prudential Center on Sunday, August 28, broadcast LIVE on MTV Latin America.
