The organizers of Lollapalloza made a very special announcement today, through their social networks. They confirmed nothing less than the accomplishment of the first edition of the festival in Asiamore precisely in the city of Mumbai, on 28 and 29 January 2023.
According to the press release, the event is heralded as “the first time that the world-class festival will take place on the shores of Asia, with two full days of music on four stages, as well as innovative culinary selections, art, fashion and much more. “.

For his part, the leader of alternative rock group Jane’s Addiction and founder of the festival, Perry Farrell, commented: “The music of India is transcendental, it draws our spirits to the east. Lollapalooza India is produced by Perry Farrell himself and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, C3 Presents and BookMyShow.
So far there is no information on the trainingbut the concrete thing is that this edition which will take place in January 2023 in Mumbai joins a long list of countries that have their own version of the festival, such as Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Sweden.
A prestigious and successful brand
Launched by Farrell in 1991 as a traveling festival, Lollapalooza currently takes place in eight countries on four continents, including the United States, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Sweden.

Chicago’s four-day festival kicks off this weekend, Thursday July 28 through Sunday July 31.
In total, more than 170 artists will perform this year at Lollapalooza in the United States, highlighting the headliners, or in Spanish the main ones: Metallica, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Green Day, Måneskin, Charli XCX and J -Hope, a member of BTS and who, according to Rolling Stone magazine, will make history by being the first South Korean artist to be on the main stage of the festival.
Latins include:
- La Doña, an artist born in San Francisco but with Latin roots.
- Niko Rubio, originally from California, but with Mexican and Salvadoran roots.
- Rawayana, a Venezuelan band that blends pop with reggae and other rhythms.
- DannyLux, is a Mexican-American singer, very popular among the centenarians for the fusion he makes with his corridos.
- The Marías, is an American pop group, whose singer María Zardoya, is originally from Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny recently included The Marías in the song “Another sunset” from his album “A summer without you”. Marías have gained ground in the United States and are one of the most successful indie bands.
- Gordo, an American Guatemalan artist formerly known as DJ Carnage.
