“The Wager”: Leonardo Di Caprio and Martin Scorsese reunited for a seventh collaboration

After “Killers Of The Flower Moon,” the actor and director will work together again on an adaptation of a David Grann novel: “The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder.”

While it will soon launch on Apple+ Moonflower Assassins, Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio will once again team up on screen. According to the hollywood reporterthe director and the filmmaker will work together on the adaptation of another novel by journalist David Grann entitled The Wager: A Story of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder.

This book, scheduled for release in April 2023, tells the story of a British navy ship called The Wager, which is shipwrecked on a desert island in Patagonia after a mission to recover treasures flying the Spanish flag.

Stranded and forced to survive against the elements, the crew falls into anarchy and is accused by other sailors of being traitors guilty of mutiny. While the testimonies are conflicting, the Royal Navy organizes a trial to find out what really happened on the island.

The Wager: A Story of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder It will be the seventh collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio since gangs of new yorkpublished in 2000.
